Update 1

Flax Place, a £67.3m residential development in Leeds, will deliver 300 sustainable apartments. Recent achievements include enabling works, bulk excavation, and a contiguous piled wall. In the coming six weeks, site offices will be set up, piling will begin for both blocks, and October will see the installation of a 100m tower crane - a key milestone. Completion is planned for 2027.

We’re delighted to have secured another exciting new residential project in Leeds.

Flax Place is a £67.3m GDV project that comprises of two blocks spanning 10 and 14 storeys. The 300 one- and two-bedroom apartments have a strong focus on sustainability, incorporating MVHR systems, solar photovoltaic panels, and green roofs to support biodiversity.

We’ve already made excellent progress on-site with enabling works, included bulk excavation as well as the construction of a contiguous piled wall and capping beam along the Richmond Street and Flax Place elevations, already completed.

Over the next six weeks, our team will install site establishment offices and welfare facilities. Our piling subcontractor will also begin installing King Post piles to the northern elevation, along with the main bearing piles for both blocks. During October, we’ll see the erection of the first tower crane, which will stand at 100m tall, with the second crane scheduled for early 2025.

In other great news, our site team recently came together for a charity coffee morning in support of Macmillan, raising funds for people living with cancer. This included our level three apprentice, who we welcomed on-site, supporting careers in construction.

A special shoutout goes to @Able Habtgborale and @Shamble Dres, our well-deserving employees of the month! They each receive £25 shopping vouchers.

Block A is on schedule for completion towards the end of 2026, and the entire project is due to finish in 2027. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we continue to progress this development!
